Guard Delonte West is returning to the Boston Celtics, signing a contract with the team. Terms have not been disclosed.
West fell out of favor in Cleveland because of his off-the-court behavior and a rumor that has circled about him a star’s private life.
The Cavaliers traded him to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier in the offseason, who wasted little time in waiving him.
When he is playing at a high level, West is a quality reserve off the bench who can play both guard positions. ( Read More…)

It appears as though Boston Celtics second round draft pick Luke Harangody will make the team.
Harangody was very impressive during summer league play, which likely earned him a roster spot.
With Rasheed Wallace retiring, the Celtics needed another big man to come off the bench anyway.
While Harangody is a terrible defender and lacks athleticism, he can bang around down low and score from just about anywhere. ( Read More…)

The Boston Celtics have re-signed backup guard Nate Robinson to a two-year contract worth $4 million.
Robinson was known for bringing a lot of energy, intensity and scoring ability off of the bench.
With the Celtics being an older team, Robinson’s energy was contagious and helped some of the players get fired up. ( Read More…)

Center Jermaine O’ Neal saw the writing on the wall and knew it was time he found a new home.
O’ Neal found that home with the Boston Celtics, signing a two-year, $5.75 million contract to back up Kevin Garnett.

The Boston Celtics have re-signed shooting guard Ray Allen to a two-year contract worth $20 million.
It was assumed that the Celtics were not willing to pay Allen and the two sides would part ways.

The Boston Celtics have re-signed star forward Paul Pierce to a new, multi-year contract.
Pierce decided to opt out of his current contract with the Celtics looking to get a better deal on the open market.

Boston Celtics forward Rasheed Wallace has announced that he will retire from the NBA.
Wallace limped through much of the NBA Finals and has been battling both knee and back problems.

The Boston Celtics saw a 13-point lead and their NBA title hopes vanish in thin air in an 83-79 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Boston did an outstanding job of shutting down Kobe Bryant, who had a miserable shooting night.

Boston Celtics center Kendrick Perkins will miss Game 7 of the NBA Finals with a knee injury.
Perkins injured his knee in the second quarter of Game 6 when he landed awkwardly after jumping for a rebound.
